Sunflower harvesting

Specialised 6, 8, 12- row unique header FALCON is intended for sunflower harvesting. High productivity and careful attitude to sunflower seeds - the main features of the FALCON sunflower headers, that are equally effective in all cultivation areas both in harvesting of tall and low-growing varieties: header can pick up baskets of sunflowers located at an altitude of only 600 mm. This is achieved by hinged divisors which are adjustable in height. The conveyor belt provides high productivity – it will help to avoid damaging and clogging of lifters. Sunflower header Falcon is aggregated with any harvester.

Harvester in the unit with sunflower header provides:

• cut of plants;
• collection of purified seed into the bunker;
• separation of the masses;
• threshing seeds from the baskets;
• shredding and spreading of stems on the field;
• grinding threshed baskets and throwing across the field.

The seed loss during harvesting of sunflower by dint of Falcon header is not more than 1.5-2.5%: both in cleaning tall and stunted varieties (hybrids with baskets height under 600 mm). High productivity and careful attitude to sunflower seeds - the main features of the FALCON sunflower headers.

Sun Stream 1200 is a multipurpose sunflower chopper, which allows avoiding the dependence on row width. The simple and robust construction guarantees long operation life and reliable operation providing the possibility of using the machine for sunflower harvesting in each region, where this culture is cultivated. Sunflower harvesting is possible independently of seeding direction and row width. Special design of the lifters provides efficient harvesting of all cultivars and hybrids providing continuous flow of mass to the combine threshing drum.
Sun Stream choppers are designed for maximum possible increase of combine performance at the time of sunflower harvesting. Due to their reduced weight they guarantee lower fuel costs, and the simplicity of their design provides technical maintenance convenience.
Sun Stream choppers having operating width of 12 m are aggregated with high-power combines such as TORUM and RSM 161.

If apart from vast cornfields there are small sunflower fields in your farm, you have a unique opportunity for harvesting two different cultures buying only one Argus family corn head with a set of equipment for harvesting sunflower. That original set of equipment will allow you reequipping your corn head for harvesting sunflower quickly and with minimum expenses.
The set of equipment for harvesting sunflower consists of three parts, which can be supplied assembled or by different units at customer’s option:

• set of table back plates for harvesting tall-growth sunflower with minimum losses;
• set of catchers installed on the hood of the sunflower head;
• • set of cutter bars with active rotating knives and cutting protection devices.

Harvesting sunflower with the use of our corn head with a set of additional equipment allows harvesting sunflower of any height with minimum losses without leaving stalks in the field grinding them in a proper way.
At the same time for harvesting sunflower on large areas we suggest using the purpose-designed "Falcon" sunflower heads.
