Trailer forage harvester Sterh is intended for obtaining high-quality forage, as well as:
- for mowing grass and laying it into roll with further pickup and loading in the accompanying vehicle;
- for mowing, chopping and loading tops of sugar beets and potatoes with row spacing of 45 cm and 70 cm into the vehicle;
- for mowing, simultaneous grinding and loading in the vehicle of seeded and natural grass and corn without cobs and other silage crops up to 1.5 m height with the further use of grass mass for animal feeding or forage conservation;
- for mowing, grinding and spreading across the field of shredded sunflower stubble, remaining on the field after the harvesting of sunflower seeds.

Multifunctional ability
Special shape of rotor knives allows the machine to work not only for dressing, but also for harvesting the haylage: after mowing the grass mass with laying it into swath and its drying up to required humidity depending on soil fertility, forage harvester Sterh can pick up the swath with simultaneous shredding the mass and loading it into vehicle.
Several options for grass mass loading
Loading of grass mass can be performed through silage guide into near moving vehicle as well as back into hopper trailer. It allows to choose the scheme of work depending on free equipment available.
Long term life and long operation of the harvester
All parts are made of high quality metal, which extends the harvester service life. Self-sharpened knives have the special hardness, and they are made of special alloyed steel, which provides clean cut and excludes the breakage of a knife and getting it into shredder when hitting an obstacle, as well as extending the service life of the harvester.
Operation convenience
Due to hydraulic drive of silage line, the unloading control is performed from the cabin, which makes the work of tractor operator much easier.
The knives service life is increased twice
Efficiency in mowing and shredding process is provided by double-bladed knives: the wear of knife does not require its replacement. The work can be continued at the same time, if the knife is turned over. It allows to increase the service life of knives twice.
Easy maintenance
Maintenance of the forage harvester Sterh is extremely easy and does not require special tools and equipment: convenient access to shredder knives for their replacement and all lubrication points is provided.
Maximum efficiency
Rotational speed of the shredder achieves 1000 rpm. Reliable gearbox and ability to work at high speed allow to achieve efficiency of 38 t/h.
Auger protection
Auger drive of the harvester is equipped with safety shear bolt. It prevents auger from breakdown at critical overloads.
Finer grinding (optional)
The shredder with eight blades allows to achieve smaller fraction of chopping mass. It certainly affects the quality and digestibility of the forage.
Increased loading height (optional)
The extender of silage guide is used for loading into the vehicles with a side height up to 4 meters.Documents
